Peer Review Process
Manuscript Screening
All manuscripts submitted to Journal V-Code undergo an initial screening process conducted by the Editor. The screening focuses on three primary aspects: (1) the scientific quality and originality of the research, (2) plagiarism checking, and (3) grammatical and structural appropriateness. Plagiarism detection is performed using the Turnitin software with a maximum allowable similarity index of 25%.
Manuscripts that successfully pass these screening criteria will proceed to the peer-review stage. Submissions that fail to meet the originality or plagiarism standards, or that are deemed to lack sufficient research merit, will be rejected at the editorial screening stage without entering the peer-review process. The Editor reserves the right to decline a manuscript at any point prior to peer review if it does not meet the journal’s academic and ethical standards.
Peer Review
Journal V-Code employs a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two qualified reviewers with relevant expertise in the manuscript’s subject area. Additional reviewers may be invited at the discretion of the Editor to ensure a comprehensive and balanced evaluation.
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on their originality, scientific contribution, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal’s scope. The Editor makes the final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of a manuscript, taking into account the reviewers’ recommendations, comments, and suggestions for improvement.
Editing and Publication Process
Accepted manuscripts will enter the copyediting stage, handled by a dedicated copy editor appointed by Journal V-Code. During this process, grammar, typographical consistency, and formatting issues are corrected in accordance with the journal’s publication standards. Authors will then be requested to review the copyedited version and provide corrections or approval before the manuscript proceeds to layout.
After copyediting, manuscripts will undergo a layout editing process conducted by the Layout Editor to prepare the final publication-ready version in the journal’s standard format. The layout process ensures that all articles follow a uniform design and are converted into an interactive PDF document ready for online publication.
Once the layout is completed, the manuscript is sent to the proofreading stage. Authors are required to carefully review the proof version, using PDF annotation tools such as Adobe Reader or Acrobat Reader DC, to provide correction notes and comments. The corrected proof should then be returned to the Editor for final revision.
The finalized manuscript, after all necessary corrections have been incorporated, will be scheduled for publication in the appropriate Volume and Issue of Journal V-Code. Once published, the article will be made freely accessible online through the journal’s official website.
Review Platform
The entire editorial and review process including submission, correspondence between authors, editors, and reviewers, as well as final publication is conducted through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform managed by Journal V-Code and published by PT Vistar Indonesia Gemilang. This system ensures transparency, traceability, and efficiency throughout the publication workflow.
