Author Guidelines
Authors are requested to submit manuscripts that have been carefully proofread and checked for clarity, coherence, and originality. Manuscripts submitted to Vistar Medical Journal must represent original research, systematic reviews, case reports, or extended versions of previously published conference papers that are relevant to medical and health sciences. If the research has received financial support or official sponsorship, authors must ensure that the work has been properly authorized for open publication.
Before submission, authors must prepare their manuscripts using the official Vistar Medical Journal paper template. Manuscripts must strictly follow the journal’s formatting guidelines, which are available in Microsoft Word (.DOCX) format. The use of reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is strongly recommended. All references must follow the IEEE citation style. Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s formatting, ethical standards, or scope will not be processed for peer review.
Author’s Guide
Manuscripts submitted to Vistar Medical Journal should present scientific research results in the fields of medicine, clinical sciences, nursing, pharmacy, public health, biomedical sciences, and health technology. All manuscripts must be written in English using clear and academic language.
The journal does not accept submissions via email. All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS). Authors who do not yet have an account are required to register before submitting their manuscript.
The submitted manuscript file must be in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). The recommended manuscript length is no more than 15 pages, including tables, figures, and references.
Authors must ensure that the manuscript follows the official journal template. The recommended manuscript structure is as follows:
-
Introduction
-
Methodology
-
Results
-
Discussion
-
Conclusion
Authors are advised to avoid including trivial or well-known statements; such information should be appropriately cited instead.
The References section must include a minimum of 20 references, preferably from the last five years, and sourced from reputable national or international journals. At least 80% of the references should be journal articles.
During submission, authors are required to upload a Publication Ethics Statement. Detailed information regarding ethical standards, plagiarism, authorship, and conflicts of interest can be found in the Publication Ethics section on the journal’s website.
All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two independent reviewers. The review process is managed entirely through the online journal system, and authors may track the progress of their submission via their OJS account.
The editorial decision timeline may vary depending on the quality, completeness, and review process of the manuscript. Therefore, the editorial board does not guarantee a specific publication timeframe.
All matters related to copyright, intellectual property rights, permissions to reproduce figures or data, and software usage are the sole responsibility of the authors. Any legal consequences arising from these issues remain entirely with the authors.
